Fender Limited Edition Brian Fallon ’59 Telecaster Custom: The Sound of The Gaslight Anthem (For Collectors)
Legendary 1959 Telecaster with Righteous Sound pickups!
Fender has released the Limited Edition Brian Fallon ’59 Telecaster Custom. The frontman and singer of The Gaslight Anthem played an identical Telecaster during the band’s early years, and has now teamed up with the Fender Custom Shop to create this luxurious signature guitar. Both in terms of price and quality, this model is in a league of its own.
The Gaslight Anthem and Brian Fallon
Formed in 2005 in New Brunswick, New Jersey, The Gaslight Anthem quickly became an insider’s tip in their early years, releasing two EPs and landing their first cover stories in Kerrang! and other rock magazines. With their album The ’59 Sound (2008), the band achieved notable success not only in the U.S. but also in Europe, riding in the wake of bands like Kings of Leon. Extensive tours followed.
In the following years, they enjoyed great success with the albums Handwritten (2012) and Get Hurt (2014). Brian Fallon is primarily responsible for the songwriting and vocals. And in the early years, especially for the aforementioned album The ’59 Sound, he played a 1959 Telecaster Custom, a true Tele-songwriter, just like his heroes Bruce Springsteen and Joe Strummer. Now he has teamed up with Fender Custom Shop to develop the Brian Fallon ’59 Telecaster Custom.
Fender Brian Fallon ’59 Telecaster Custom
When a Telecaster Custom is inspired by the year it was first released, you can be sure that such a limited edition features only the finest components. This Custom Shop model comes with a two-piece alder body featuring white top and back binding in Aged Black (Journeyman Relic). Visually alone, this looks as if a ’59 model had been frozen and then thawed back to its original condition.

Fender stays close to the legendary original with a maple neck featuring a 60s oval C profile, an AAA rosewood fingerboard, and 2 Vintage Upgrade (45085) frets. The 9.5-inch fingerboard radius and the 1-ply parchment pickguard only add to the authenticity of this vintage gem. The hardware and pickups on the Fender Brian Fallon ’59 Telecaster Custom are similar!

Hardware und Elektronik
As for the hardware, the Brian Fallon ’59 Telecaster Custom features a three-saddle bridge in the style of a ’63 Tele, complete with RSD brass saddles, plus vintage-style tuners. Just looking at the pictures is enough to make any Tele fan’s mouth water.
With regards to pickups, this model comes equipped with two hand-wound Custom Shop “Fourth Man” pickups from Righteous Sound with dual-stack HS wiring. Just listen to these sound samples in the video below. Blending songwriter and country twang, this guitar delivers the creamiest Tele tones ever!

You’ll get the mid-range snarls from the bridge pickup just as smoothly as the crystal-clear arpeggios from the split-coil neck pickup. As usual, you can switch and combine the sounds using the three-way switch. The middle position, in particular, is designed to deliver an even stronger version of that legendary Tele shimmer.
How much does the Fender Limited Edition Brian Fallon ’59 Telecaster Custom cost?
All that vintage style and vibe comes at a price. The Fender Limited Edition Brian Fallon ’59 Tele Custom costs $7,099 / £6,333 / €7,299 at Thomann*, and comes with a certificate of authenticity and a guitar case.
