DuskVerb by Dusk Audio is a free algorithmic reverb plugin for Windows, macOS and Linux that offers loads of options for creative sound shaping. Based on a 16-channel feedback delay network, DuskVerb delivers everything from small rooms to endless washes of sound.

You can choose from five algorithms, each with its own delay line configuration and character: Plate, Hall, Chamber, Room, and Ambient. Each algorithm can be tweaked using the pre-delay, diffusion, decay time, and size parameters. There’s also a separate set of controls for the early reflections.

In addition, DuskVerb offers three Character knobs: Bass Mult, Treble Mult, and Crossover. These allow for shaping the decay behavior of the low and high frequencies relative to the overall decay time, which is great for making space in your mix, as well as for creative sound design. There’s also a modulation section for adding movement for the reverb tail.

DuskVerb is available for macOS, Windows, and Linux in VST3, AU, and LV2 formats.

Voltus FX by Electronik SoundLab is a delay plugin inspired by classic analog BBD effects. According to the developer, they intentionally avoided clean digital oversampling to allow for natural fold-back and intermodulation, creating the dark lo-fi sounds typically associated with BBDs.

In addition to the delay, Voltus FX includes a dual-stage saturator with separately adjustable Diode and Tube stages. Paired with an input stage that delivers up to +48 dB of gain, this allows for screaming distortion that goes extremely well with the BBD sound. There’s also a modulation section for added movement, as well as an adaptive Chamberlin color filter for sound shaping.

Voltus FX is currently only available for Windows as a VST3 plugin. A Mac version is coming soon.

Tilr also released a new delay in the last couple of days: Sirial. It’s a tap delay that, instead of using actual taps, uses individual serial delay lines. Sounds great!
