Cymatics Deja Vu: Instant time and pitch warping

Cymatics Deja VuDeja Vu by Cymatics uses a combination of time-stretching and pitch-shifting to create that dreamy vibe you get when you slow down the playback speed of a sample. The cool thing is that it’s got a built-in looping feature, so the resulting audio will always play in sync with your track. You can choose from three different time-stretching factors and adjust the fade-in and fade-out. Deja Vu also offers built-in filters and lets you mix the effect sound with the original audio. Cool stuff!

Deja Vu is available for Windows and macOS in VST3, AU, and AAX formats.

Florian Mrugalla NEL: The most versatile vibrato ever?

Florian Mrugalla NELThis one is a strange beast. The developer says that NEL is a vibrato plugin, but it delivers a wide range of modulated textures far beyond what most would call a vibrato. NEL uses a feed-forward delay to modulate the pitch and timing of the audio signal. You can choose from various modulators and use macros to modulate the parameters of the plugin. It takes a while to wrap your head around it, but NEL can take any signal to strange and mysterious places.

NEL is currently available for macOS and Windows in VST3 and AU formats.

Brummer ToneTwistPlugs: Six classic pedals emulated

Brummer ToneTwistPlugsThis pack of six modeled guitar pedals has got you covered in the distortion department. Brummer’s ToneTwistPlugs contains emulations of six classic stompboxes, including the Boss MT-2 Metal Zone, Ibanez Tube Screamer, Horizon Devices Precision Drive, Devi Ever Ruiner, and two variants of the ValveCaster DIY pedal. According to the developer, the emulations are based on the schematics of the pedals. The plugin is open-source and a wide variety of formats is available.

ToneTwistPlugs is currently available for macOS, Windows, and Linux in VST, VST3, LV2, and CLAPformats.
