Bucket ONE by Full Bucket Music brings the classic Crumar Bit 01 / Bit 99 analog polysynths from the 80s to your DAW – with a full set of real-time controls! Other free plugins this week include a new reverb by Ronan Fed and Diffuse, a name-your-own-price plugin by Daniel Gergely that serves up a unique combination of delay and reverb with heaps of modulation.
Full Bucket Music Bucket ONE: Crumar Bit 01/99 emulation
Full Bucket Music has done it again! The impressive Bucket ONE software synth is a meticulous emulation of the Crumar Bit 01/Bit 99. This pair of analog polysynths from the 80s never got the love they deserved – mostly due to their lack of a workable user interface. And this is where Bucket ONE really shines! All controls for the oscillators, filter, envelopes, and LFOs are neatly laid out for lots of instant tweaking fun. They’ve also added a noise generator and 64-voice polyphony.
Full Bucket Music Bucket ONE is available for macOS and Windows in VST, VST3, AU, and CLAP formats.
Ronan Fed Aire: Free Reverb Plugin
Aire by Ronan Fed is a free reverb plugin that combines sonic flexibility with a simple user interface that’s sure to deliver quick results. Simply dial in the decay time with the big knob in the middle (up to 20 seconds!), adjust the color and damping, and shape the reverb tail using a pair of filters. There’s also an option to adjust the stereo width, and even a Detune knob for a bit of sonic experimentation. Aire delivers just the right balance of features and ease of use.
Aire is a VST/VST3 plugin for Windows.
Daniel Gergely Diffuse: Spaced-out Delay and Reverb FX
Technically, Diffuse by Daniel Gergely isn’t a free plugin. The developer asks you to name your own price, and we strongly encourage you to do so if you like it! That said, you can download and try the plugin for free for as long as you want. Diffuse offers a unique combination of delay, reverse, reverb, freeze, and filter effects with plenty of modulation. There’s even an X/Y pad for real-time sound shaping. Diffuse sends your audio tracks to all sorts of strange and rewarding places!
Diffuse is available for macOS and Windows in VST3 and AU formats.
