To give guitar players some Easter inspiration, Audiority released a pack of three distortion plug-ins. They emulate actual pedals which have seen plenty of action in pedalboards across the planet. The models include Big Goat, Blue Face, and Distortion 1. That’s two distortion pedals and a fuzz.

That’s classic, time-tested stuff that you can probably get from whatever guitar software or processor you are using right now. But still, the price is fair, and Audiority stuff is generally great.

Distortion 1 is modeled on the classic BOSS DS-1 pedal and has Tone, Level, and Distortion controls. Big Goat is a boutique recreation and has Volume, Tone, and Sustain controls. Finally, Blue Face has just two controls — Volume and Fuzz.

Price and availability

Available in VST, AU, and AAX formats, the bundle currently costs EUR 45. Use this effects with your guitar, or warm-up/destroy synths, vocals, and whatever else you have your hands on.

Overall, a pretty cool bundle that doesn’t deliver anything new, but whatever it does, it does it nicely. While you are at it, check out Audiority’s more innovative plug-ins like Tube Modulator, Echoes T7E, or the FreeMod modulator. You can build quite the interesting arsenal out of these products!
