The plug-in is fairly easy to use, yet comes with everything needed to get a respectable drum sound happening – parametric EQs with shelving and filters, compression, clipping, saturation, a transient shaper, and a reverb. Furthermore, The Punch – Audio Assault’s standalone saturation plug-in – is built right into Druminator, so you can give those drums some genuine growl and snarl. There are also trigger channels for the snare and kick, letting you mix your own samples.
Like all drum plug-ins worth their salt, Druminator offers multi-output capabilities so you can process each drum track individually. Drum mapping is fully editable as well, and already compatible with several formats. For a 10 USD introductory price, this is a wonderful drum library to have.
