Amsterdam Dance Event 2025: The Highlight of the Electronic Music Scene!
The Amsterdam Dance Event - A paradise for music producers and DJs
The 2025 Amsterdam Dance Event (ADE) is about to kick off at the end of October. As well as enjoying the beautiful city, music producers and live performers of electronic music will once again have the opportunity to see and hear a lot during the countless day and night parties and workshops in Amsterdam. During this time, the entire city will be transformed into a huge exhibition centre showcasing hardware and software, as well as a vibrant educational hub for anyone keen to delve into the world of electronic music. So, it’s time to pack your bags and plan your schedule for five days in the electronic jungle!
All about Amsterdam Dance Event
Amsterdam Dance Event 2025
From 22 to 26 October this year, the Amsterdam Dance Event (ADE) will take place in the Dutch city of Amsterdam. Featuring over 2,500 artists, 600 speakers and more than 1,000 events in over 200 venues, it is expected to attract nearly half a million party-hungry visitors.
Once again, music producers, live performers, DJs, event organisers, managers, booking agents and fans of electronic music are meeting at dance events, during meetings, at breakfast, at lunch and at workshops and panel discussions. For these few days, the electronic music business is truly alive and well, particularly in the Dutch metropolis.
An Event for Everyone
During the day, you can recharge your batteries at various locations around the city where you can meet people with insider knowledge of the music business. These meeting points are where well-known figures from the music and events industry, as well as newcomers, meet to share ideas and have lively discussions. Here, you can ask the moderators, your peers and all the other participants questions about the music business, and discuss any problems or new ideas you have.
This is highly recommended for everyone! The Andaz Amsterdam (Hyatt Hotel) is the new hotspot for networking and business meetings. Contributions on social media platforms such as TikTok, Spotify, YouTube, Beatport and TuneCore, as well as artificial intelligence in the media sector, will certainly be very interesting this year.
In the evening, head to one of the many spectacular party venues. In disused industrial facilities or on boats, renowned DJs, VIPs and newcomers play their sets and perform live for you. Unfortunately, the large venues are so far apart that you should budget for additional taxi fares (including Uber). Alternatively, you could use the well-developed bike paths and your bike. Please note that from this year, travel on public transport is included in the Pro Pass ticket – great news! But unfortunately, taxi/Uber rides are not. And that can be quite expensive in Amsterdam.
Need to work off a few calories after a long night? The gym is now also included in the Pro Pass free of charge.
ADE Lab Village – Even More, Even Bigger!
The highlight for gear enthusiasts, live performers and music producers has been expanded again this year. Given the rush and demand, it was only a matter of time before the organisers responded in this area too. The ADE Lab Village offers five days of workshops led by renowned specialists, musicians and audio experts from the industry. There is such a wide selection that you’re sure to find something that interests you.
Warning: G.A.S. alert! There, the professionals will demonstrate which buttons to press, the hardware they personally use, and how songs are produced and mixed. There is also a small but impressive ‘Superbooth’ exhibition featuring hardware and software manufacturers such as Ableton, Roland, Bitwig, Allen & Heath, Technics, AlphaTheta/Pioneer DJ and many more. Here, you can ask the experts all your questions. It’s sure to make any tech-lover’s heart beat a little faster!
So, you’ve decided at the last minute to travel to Amsterdam? I’ll keep my fingers crossed for you, because hotels and guest rooms are in short supply and those that are available will be expensive. The cost of living in the city has risen once again this year, in all areas. However, it will certainly be a breathtaking and interesting few days for music enthusiasts of the electro, dance, techno, trap and house genres (of course, there are many more genres at ADE!). Maybe we’ll see you there?
The only downside is that: Unfortunately, the legendary Gashouder will be closed this year due to renovation work. However, I’m sure the organisers have found an equally spectacular alternative venue. I’m really looking forward to it!
