Amsterdam Dance Event (ADE for short) celebrates its 30th anniversary in 2026, and the Dutch capital is gearing up for its biggest edition yet. Beyond the beautiful city itself, music producers and live performers in electronic music get another round of countless night and day parties and workshops throughout Amsterdam. On top of that, the entire city transforms during these days at the end of October into a massive exhibition center for hardware and software, and into a giant university for anyone in the scene hungry to learn. Time to start packing and mapping out your schedule for five days deep in the electro jungle!

From October 21 to 25, this year’s Amsterdam Dance Event 2026 (ADE for short) takes over the canals of the Dutch capital, and it’s the 30th edition. Over 2,500 artists, more than 1,000 events, and 200+ venues await you across the city, alongside a nearly half-million crowd of party-hungry attendees. The first lineup wave alone brought over 250 acts, including David Guetta, Armin van Buuren, Amelie Lens, Adam Beyer, Jeff Mills, Scooter, and Skepta, and that’s only a fraction of the full, star-studded lineup, so expect plenty more names in the coming weeks.
Dancing, discussing, in meetings, over breakfast together, at lunch, or during workshops and panel discussions, music producers, live performers, DJs, promoters, managers, and booking agents keep meeting up, along with plain fans of the electronic music scene, and the music itself above all. The business of electronic music genuinely lives, mostly, in this Dutch metropolis during these days.
30 Years of ADE: Jean-Michel Jarre as Guest of Honor
For the milestone anniversary, ADE landed a real coup: electronic music pioneer Jean-Michel Jarre returns to Amsterdam as guest of honor. Kicking off the anniversary celebrations, he presents his immersive show “Oxygène & Beyond: A Sonic Journey Celebrating 30 Years of ADE” at AFAS Live on October 21, already sold out. At the same time, Jarre is celebrating the 50th anniversary of his legendary album “Oxygène.” He’ll also deliver an exclusive keynote as part of ADE Pro and show up across several more program items. Very cool.
Confirmed ADE Pro 2026 speakers also include Mosimann, Novah, LYZZA, Mochakk, the Solarce Brothers, Josh Baker, SPFDJ, Paul Hartnoll of Orbital, Ed Banger founder Pedro Winter aka Busy P, Because Music chief Emmanuel de Buretel, and Gideon Berger, Sarah Williams, and Matt Black. Content-wise, ADE Pro 2026 focuses on three major themes tied to current challenges and developments across the industry.
More anniversary edition highlights: Skepta returns with an even bigger version of his Más Tiempo event at Warehouse Elementenstraat, David Guetta brings his spectacular Monolith show to ADE for the first time, plus two exclusive KI/KI 5 Hours shows, OUTWORLD featuring Klangkuenstler All Night Long at Ziggo Dome, and the tenth anniversary of STMPD RCRDS. Paul van Dyk, Speedy J, the DJ-Kicks event with The Blessed Madonna, D-Stone, and Gerd Janson, the Drumcode event with Adam Beyer, and the Kompakt label night are all already on the program too.
An Event for Everyone in the Music Industry
During the day, you can fuel up on music industry insider knowledge across dozens of locations spread throughout the city. These meeting points bring together well-known names from the music and events world alongside newcomers for genuine exchange and heated discussions. Feel free to bombard moderators, whoever you’re sitting across from, and every other attendee with your questions, problems, and new ideas about the music business.
Genuinely worth it for absolutely anyone! This year should also bring interesting sessions on social media platforms like TikTok, Spotify, YouTube, and Beatport, plus artificial intelligence in media, a topic that’s become impossible to skip at any industry conference by now.
At night (or already in the early evening), it’s off to one of the many spectacular party locations. Whether in decommissioned industrial buildings or on one of the countless boats, VIPs, well-known DJs, and newcomers alike play their DJ sets and live shows for you. The bigger venues sit pretty far apart from each other, so budget for cab fare or take advantage of the city’s excellent bike infrastructure.
ADE Lab Village: Even Bigger, Even Better
The highlight for gear nerds, live performers, and music producers is back for the anniversary edition too: ADE Lab Village runs workshops across multiple days led by well-known specialists, musicians, and audio geeks from the scene. The lineup is big enough that you’ll almost certainly find something for yourself.
Fair warning: G.A.S. alert! The pros show you exactly which buttons to push, which hardware they personally rely on, and how a track actually gets produced and mixed. There’s also a small but genuinely impressive Superbooth-style showcase featuring hardware and software manufacturers. You can pepper the pros with your questions here, definitely gets the gear-lover heart racing a bit faster.
New for the anniversary edition is ADE Lab On Track, a program where participants can no longer pick individual sessions, instead committing to the full three-day event (October 21 to 23). Participation costs €149, applications close September 6, 2026, and spots are limited. That’s rounded out by ADE Incepted, a four-day development program for just twelve participants that simulates the full creative and commercial process of developing and releasing an EP, including an actual release through Sony Music and a showcase on an ADE stage.
Thinking about a last-minute trip to Amsterdam? Fingers crossed for you, since available hotels and guest rooms are especially scarce for the anniversary edition, or only available at seriously inflated prices. For fans of electro, dance, techno, trap, melodic techno, progressive house, drum’n’bass, and house (plenty of other genres show up at ADE too, obviously), these are guaranteed to be some genuinely breathtaking and interesting days.
