The beyerdynamic DT 30 IE is a new and affordable entry-level model in the manufacturer’s range of in-ear monitoring earphones for stage performance.
Traditionally, professional in-ear monitoring systems have always been a considerable investment, with professional solutions starting at around $800 and up. However, brands like beyerdynamic are using their extensive background in the development of headphone technology to create solutions that are more accessible for musicians.

The beyerdynamic DT 30 IE provides a balanced sonic profile, delivering vocal clarity and instruments that have definition within a monitor mix you can rely on from one performance to another. Engineered for the demanding stage environment, the DT 30 IE is IP 54 certified to withstand sweat, dust, and even splashes of water – so anything you may encounter while performing at indoor or outdoor venues.
The design features a Kevlar®-reinforced cable with MMCX connectors that is durable and detachable, but also replaceable if needed. Many of the parts are either available separately or interchangeable with other models in this series, which adds to the longevity of the design. Also, the connectors use gold plating, while the memory wire cabling ensures stability.
Another key aspect of the design is the passive noise isolation offered by the DT 30 IE. With up to 39 dB of attenuation, you can perform confidently even on stages with high noise levels and remain unaffected by environmental changes as you move from one venue to the next. The earpieces contain 11 mm dynamic drivers and deliver a 5 to 20,000 Hz frequency range, ideal for electronic musicians, DJs, and performers in acoustic music styles.
By using a sleek, ergonomic shape, the DT 30 IE gives you a snug fit, and each earpiece weighs only 2.7 g. This makes it possible for you to forget you’re wearing in-ears and focus on your show or rehearsal.
