Expert Sleepers NTX-8CV and Forever: Audio/MIDI Interface and Audio Freezer Modules for Eurorack

Expert Sleepers is bringing two new Eurorack modules to Superbooth this year. NTX-8CV is a versatile MIDI and audio interface module, and Forever is based on disting NT’s Freeze algorithm.
Expert Sleepers NTX-8CV
Expert Sleepers’ versatile interface modules are probably the thing the manufacturer is best known for. Now, there’s a new option. NTX-8CV is a space-saving 4 HP module that serves three distinct purposes:
Firstly, it’s a USB MIDI-to-CV converter that converts incoming MIDI data into up to eight control voltages. The module is class-compliant and functions as a USB host, so you can connect your MIDI controller directly to it.
Secondly, NTX-8CV is also an audio interface with eight DC-coupled outputs. This lets you generate control voltages using your DAW (such as Ableton Live or Bitwig) or the Expert Sleepers Silent Way software. To my knowledge, this is the most compact ES module with this functionality to date.
And last, but not least, NTX-8CV can also be used as an expander module to add eight CV outputs to disting NT. Several units can be daisy-chained for up to 64 CV outputs.
Expert Sleepers NTX-8CV is scheduled for release in summer 2026 for $219 / £179 / €172.25.
Expert Sleepers Forever
The second new module, Forever, is a freeze and sustain effect based on the Temporal Freeze algorithm from disting NT. It offers three independent freeze voices, which can be triggered manually or via CV. You can also overdub, e.g. record additional audio material on top of the “frozen” buffer.
In addition to audio I/O and three trigger inputs, there’s a USB port for MIDI control, configuration, and firmware updates.
Expert Sleepers say that Forever will be released in Q3 of 2026. The price hasn’t been announced yet.
