Yamaha Pacifica SC: T-Style Models With Amazing Upgrades!
Reflectone pickups from Neve included!

The Yamaha Pacifica series is extremely popular, great design meets high-quality workmanship. Today, we get an update to the series, the Yamaha Pacifica SC, which brings a major change: T-style instead of ST-style! That means, these are now beautiful Tele single-cuts in popular curved Pacifica design. What’s more, these new models come with a whole range of upgrades.
Yamaha Pacifica SC P11: High-End Guitars With Compound Radius
Let’s start with the high-end models, namely the Yamaha Pacifica SC P11 series. You just can’t get enough of these. The new single-cut Pacifica-style shape is particularly appealing. And the two-piece alder body and bolt-on maple neck are also not bad.

In terms of color, we get Black Metallic, Shell White, Ash Pink, Breeze Metallic Blue, and Sunny Orange, some with rosewood fretboards and some with maple fretboards. But the real kicker is the hardware: 22 jumbo stainless steel frets, compound radius (9.5 inches to 12 inches), locking tuners, chrome bridge (Gotoh BC-TS1S) with compensated 3 brass saddles… Hello? What a setup!

In addition, every Yamaha Pacifica C P11 comes with a Reflectone HT7b single coil at the bridge and a Reflectone EH7n humbucker at the neck. Fans of the original Pacifica series might remember that these pickups were co-developed with none other than Rupert Neve Designs.
In terms of controls, the new models feature a three-way switch, a master volume with a hi-pass capacitor, and a master tone, which also acts as a push-pull focus switch to switch the humbucker to single-coil mode.
The new models cost €2,199.00 at Thomann*, and come with a hardshell case.
Pacifica SC Standard Plus: Mid-range T-Style models
In addition to the high-end series, the Yamaha Pacifica SC series includes a full range of mid-range models, namely the Pacifica SC Standard Plus. These models also come in the Tele single-cut shape, with a three-piece alder body, a maple neck, and a choice of rosewood (11S) or maple (11SM) fretboards.

The second difference to the P11 series: no compound radius. These models come with a continuous 12-inch fretboard radius. But, and this is something to savor, these models also come with locking tuners, the Gototh bridge, and Reflectone pickups! Pretty amazing for this price point.
Push/pull is also included here. The Standard Plus models are available in Ash Pink, Peppermint Green, Desert Burst, Black Metallic, and Shell White. They cost €969.00 each at Thomann*, and a gig bag is included. For this price, with these specs, these models are likely to be quite a hit.
