Yamaha AG series: compact consoles and microphones for streaming
The Yamaha AG series updates two models in its popular range of compact mixers. With streaming and content creation in mind, the AG03 and AG06 are equipped with new features and connectivity options. Also in the range, are the YCM01 condenser and the AG01 USB microphones with a similar look.
Yamaha AG03M2 and AG06MK2: compact console updates
Each of these compact mixers connects via USB. From here, you can run them straight into your streaming software by selecting the built-in audio interface from OBS or Twitch. These units also have a footswitch, making hand-free operation possible. The AG03MK2 has four inputs: an XLR/jack combo input and three line inputs with a 6.3 mm jack. A Hi-Z switch on one of the line inputs also gives you a channel for electric guitar. While the sound quality has been improved with the MK2 version, we can also mute each channel individually.

The slightly larger AG06MK2 has the same upgrades and more inputs. Two XLR/jack combo inputs, two Hi-Z jack inputs, and two cinch inputs. Both mixers use phantom power via their combo inputs. Meanwhile, the integrated DSP chip provides effects like chorus and reverb. With the free mobile app, you can control these effects accurately. In addition, the mixers support up to 192 kHz 24-bit conversion.
Yamaha YCM01 and AG01: condenser microphone and USB microphone
Live streaming is the name of the game with the new YCM01 condenser microphone. It has the handy ability to isolate the voice even in noisy environments. Although the design is similar, what differentiates the AG01 from the YCM01 is the built-in converter. As a USB microphone, it can support mobile devices such as smartphones and tablets. However, using the integrated effects requires a power bank connected to the 5-volt input.

Pricing and availability of the new AG series
The AG03MK2 and AG06MK2 will be available in black and white from May 2022. YCM01 and AG01 will also be available in black and white from June 2022.
The compact mixer AG03MK2 costs €179 and the larger AG06MK2 is €229. Meanwhile, the YCM01 condenser microphone will cost €139 and the AG01 USB microphone is €249. There is also a bundle option with the YCM01 and the AG03 as the AG03MK2 Live Streaming Package for the price of €369.
