Wolfgang EVH SA-126 by EVH Gear has been announced on Eddie Van Halen’s Birthday. The signature model for his loving son Wolfgang and a tribute to his late father.

Nearly two years in the making, today is the arrival of the EVH SA-126 Special, Wolfgang Van Halen’s signature guitar. Announced on Eddie’s birthday by Wolfgang and it was a pretty amazing tribute to his late father.
EVH Gear has been busy this year and we have already seen reissues of the Shark and Circles guitars, that Eddie played with Van Halen.
Test till it breaks!
Wolfgang Van Halen announced that his new signature model SA-126 guitar would honor his late father, mirroring the sentiment of Eddie’s song 316, dedicated to Wolfgang. He has been out road-testing it to destruction for two years with his band Mammoth. He is so much like his father, as Eddie did the same with all his guitars.

Two Styles
The EVH SA-126 debuts in two distinct looks; the Stealth Black or Matte Army Drab maple top version, and a more fancy Transparent Purple or Tobacco Sunburst finished quilt maple top edition. Apart from the tops, the two variants are identical.
Construction
They both feature a mahogany body with a basswood centre block, a bolt-on mahogany neck with an EVH modified C shape, and an ebony fretboard with a 12”-16” compound radius with 22 jumbo-frets. Design-wise, this is a hybrid between a semi-hollow and solid-body guitar.
It comes with a harmonica bridge, a stop bar tailpiece, and a set of Mammoth inlays.
Twin ‘Buckers
They all come fitted with a pair of custom-wound EVH SA-126 humbuckers designed by pickup expert Tim Shaw. With volume and tone controls for each pickup and a three-way pickup selector switch.
Price and Launch Date
The SA-126 Special is priced at $1,799, and the SA-126 Special QM is $1,899. Shipping is set for May this year.
