Honey, I shrunk the pedals! The new Warm Audio Mod Series introduces the Centavo Mod and the WA-C1 Mod, two slimmed-down versions of popular WA pedals. Plus, they’ve partnered with Black Key’s Dan Auerbach for the Peach Fuzz. Let’s check it out!

Warm Audio Mod Series: Centavo Mod
The general idea of the Warm Audio Mod Series is to take a popular pedal, slim it down, and, for some recreations of recreations, even add features. The Centavo Mod is Warm Audio’s pedalboard-friendly redesign of their take on a Klon. You get top-mounted jacks and selected components, including TL072 op amps and premium diodes, that made the big Centavo the standout Klon clone we know and love.
From transparent boost tones to edge-of-breakup sounds, the Centavo Mod gives you that golden shine the OG is legendary for. What’s new for this edition, besides the smaller size, is the MOD switch, next to the top-mounted jacks. If you turn it on, you’ll get that famous bass boost.

Warm Audio WA-C1 Mod
Next in the Warm Audio Mod Series, we get a similarly slimmed-down version of Warm Audio’s take on the C-1 Chorus. All analog chorus and vibrato, independent controls for depth and rate, selectable Hi-Z impedance, wet/dry stereo outs: it’s all there from the original.
Besides the smaller size and the top-mounted jacks, Warm Audio has added a bypass switch to the top that lets you deactivate the WA-C1 Mod’s preamp. While it’s celebrated for closely matching the originals legendary tone, there can be circumstances on a board’s signal flow where it is necessary to bypass the preamp in order to have more control over gain staging.
I have to admit, I’m a bit surprised these smaller pedals are at the same price level, if not higher, than the bigger versions. Of course, shrinking a circuit down is no mean feat, and adding functions costs R&D money, too. But making a smaller version more expensive than its bigger counterpart seems risky from a sales psychology standpoint.

Warm Audio Black Keys Peach Fuzz
There is a third release that is part of the Warm Audio Mod Series that seems to be a limited run exclusively available on WA’s website: the Black Keys Peach Fuzz. They’ve partnered with none other than Dan Auerbach from the Black Keys for this modded version of their Foxy-style fuzz and octave circuit.
Its artwork is meant to match The Black Keys’ 2026 release, Peaches!. Just like the original version, you get anything from mellow fuzz tones to thunderous distorted riffs and piercing octave leads. For this version they’ve added a selectable momentary/latching octave switch.
