Thomann Beatmaking Contest 2026: Build Your Beat from Exclusive Samples Straight Out of Treppendorf
Win Great Prizes with the Official Sample Pack, June 25 through July 12
Thomann is back with the Beatmaking Contest 2026, a contest for anyone who wants to show off their production skills. For this year’s edition, a group of artists, musicians, and creators recorded an exclusive sample pack right in Treppendorf, covering everything from instrument recordings and live performances to unusual textures and field recordings. Your job now is to turn those sounds into your own beat, in whatever genre you want.
Thomann Beatmaking Contest 2026: Everything on the Sample Pack, Rules, and Prizes
The Beatmaking Contest 2026: What It’s All About
The task is pretty straightforward: build an original beat using the official Thomann Sample Pack and turn those sounds into something that’s entirely your own. Boom bap, trap, house, techno, lo-fi, drill, experimental, whatever your style is, Thomann wants to hear your own take on it. The contest runs from June 25 through July 12, 2026.
The Sample Pack: Who’s Behind It
A whole group of artists teamed up for this sample pack: Paul Marx, Thomas Opstal, Olha Violinist, Gustavo Strauss, David Lap, and Gnarly. The result is a collection built from real instrument recordings, live performances, and what Thomann itself calls “pure sample magic.” Download the sample pack here.
Rules: How to Enter
Your beat needs to run between 30 and 60 seconds and use at least three samples from the pack. The genre is completely open, same goes for software or hardware, use whatever you like best. As for the samples themselves, anything goes: chop them, stretch them, reverse them, pitch them, layer them, warp them, resample them, throw effects on top, as long as it ends up sounding like your own thing.
Submission and Deadline
Post your beat on Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, or TikTok using the hashtag #ThomannBeatmakingContest, your profile or post needs to be set to public, or the entry won’t count. On top of that, you’ll need to fill out the official entry form with a link to your post and a short description of your creative process, including the techniques you used to transform the samples. The deadline is July 12, 2026, at 23:59:59 CET. You’ll find the full terms and conditions directly at Thomann.
Once the deadline passes, the Thomann jury reviews every entry and judges it on creativity, originality, musicality, production quality, and overall impact. Good luck, and go make something unforgettable.

Bottom Line
A sample pack recorded right in Thomann’s own backyard in Treppendorf, wide open genre boundaries, and solid prizes on top, that makes the Beatmaking Contest 2026 a pretty relaxed excuse to dig into someone else’s source material for a change. If you’ve been looking for a reason to run a quick sample challenge, you’ve got two weeks to turn this one into something that’s all yours. Have fun tinkering.
