We checked out the ASUS CES 2023 product launch, where a motherload of new pro media tech was revealed. From innovative laptops to desktops, components, and displays, we’ll take a look through the lens of music production relevance.

What was launched at the ASUS CES 2023 launch event?

There is a huge range of laptops launched, so keep in mind that these are not DAW tested yet. If you’re planning to make any purchases for your audio setup, make sure you research and check out the compatibility with your current hardware and software.

The ProArt range:

Some exciting additions to the ASUS ProArt range include the new Studiobook 16 OLED and Studiobook 16 3D high-powered creator laptops.

These are equipped with a 16-inch 3.2K 120 Hz OLED display (with a touchscreen or 3D option), 13th-Gen Intel Core i9 HX CPU, NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070 GPU, and up to 64 GB DDR5 memory.

In addition, the new ProArt Station PD5 PD500TE desktop was launched and a range of ProArt displays including the 32-inch OLED PA32DCM, the 24-inch PA248CRV, the 27-inch PA279CRV, and the 32-inch PA329CRV.

The ASUS Laptop range:

ASUS also expanded its line of both creator and consumer laptops with the additions to the Vivobook Pro, Zenbook Pro, and Zenbook series.

The latest Vivobook Pro 16X 3D is fitted with a 16-inch 3.2K 120 Hz 3D OLED Dolby Vision display, 2.2 GHz Intel Core i9-13980HX CPU, 8GB GDDR6 NVIDIA Geforce RTX 4070 GPU, and up to 64GB DDR5 memory.

Meanwhile, the Zenbook Pro 16X has 3 configurations with up to a 16:10 3.2K 120Hz OLED HDR NanoEdge touchscreen, 2.6 GHz Intel Core i9-13900H CPU, 8GB GDDR6 NVIDIA Geforce RTX 4070 Laptop GPU, and 64GB LPDDR5X memory.

Some other notable additions include the Zenbook Pro 14, Zenbook 14X, and Zenbook 14 Flip OLED laptops.

The Commercial range:

For those looking for more basic options without the need for touchscreens or discrete GPUs, the ASUS Commercial range also expanded considerably, with new laptops, desktops, and all-in-one PCs.

The top-of-the-range ExpertBook B9 laptop looks like an interesting option, with its 16:10 WQXGA+ OLED display and a 13th-gen Intel Core CPU with vPro.
