The NU-33 Vinyl Engine from SolidGoldFX is a chorus/vibrato pedal with a heavy slant towards lo-fi goodness. And, as the name suggests, it also does that vinyl crackle effect. The effect incorporates selectable filters including Low-pass, hi-pass and three waveshapes, along with a tap tempo function to keep your modulations in time with the beat. Each pedal is hand-made in Montreal, Canada and looks great with its subtle and not-so-subtle features.

Momentary Speed Ramping and Vinyl Skip
The pedal also offers Momentary Speed Ramping and Vinyl Skip functions. These modes are accessed by holding down the the Bypass switch, which will then create momentary vinyl skips and a stutter effect. And holding down the Tap Tempo switch will momentarily speed up or slow down the modulation effect.
You get controls for Speed, Flutter, Ramp, Hiss, Blend, and Level, which are paired with four mini-toggle switches that engage the Wave, Skip, Color, and Crackle modes. LFO waveforms include Triangle, Sine Wave and Sawtooth, which can all be chosen via the Wave switch. The dedicated tap/hold/ramp switch allows you to easily control the effect and the bypass/ hold skip footswitch allows you to either turn the effect off completely or enter the Vinyl Skip mode.

Express Yourself
The NU-33 Vinyl Engine pedal has top mounted jacks, as well as an expression input, and runs on an external 9 volt power supply. The external expression pedal control affects different parameters, depending on how you set the internal dip switch settings. So you have a fair amount of control with this pedal.
The official demo video below is well worth a watch and shows that the unit can go from subtle to full on wobble at the flick of a switch. It has some really nice sounds and is far more than just your regular chorus/vibrato pedal.
