POLYSEQ is a flexible polyphonic step sequencer with 64 steps and 8 memory slots. It has some clever polyphonic routing for very cool independent outcomes.

I think I might really like this one as I’m trying to wrap my head around what’s going on. You’ve got 8 sequences stored in memory, and you can route those to any of the three CV/Gate outputs. So you can have all three outputs running the same or different sequences.

What I’m not quite getting at the moment is how you program sequences into the module. I can see that there is a CV/Gate input and that there are ties, rests and glide options. Each channel ca go forwards, backwards, can ping-pong or go completely random. Finally, you can also mute each channel which is a very useful feature.

But how do you program the thing? Anybody?

Ok, digging into the build instructions, it notes at the end that you should connect a CV/Gate keyboard to the CV/Gate inputs and hit record. Right, that all makes sense now. Maybe put that somewhere in the description of the module!

Now I’ve got the hang of it I think it could be extremely useful in live performance. Essentially you can store a bunch of sequences and route them via CV to up to three destinations. I can see exactly how I would use this.

POLYSEQ is already available as a kit for £115 ex VAT.
