Samsung Music Studio 5 and 7: Dolby Atmos Wireless Speakers
The Samsung Music Studio 5 and 7 Wi-Fi speakers caught the eyes and ears of many CES attendees this year. Let’s see what all the fuss is about.
Alongside the new HW-Q990H Atmos soundbar, Samsung demoed its range of sleek Atmos Wi-Fi speakers featuring intuitive features and stately design from Erwan Bouroullec.

According to Samsung, the aesthetic of the Music Studio speakers is designed to portray the dot, a symbol that denotes a musical pause. Starting with the Music Studio 5 (LS50H), which uses a speaker system that consists of a 4-inch woofer and a dual-tweeter array with waveguide for articulate directional sound reproduction.
These devices have been specially tuned by Samsung Audio Lab to offer a wide frequency range and exciting dynamics, whether you are enjoying visual media or listening to your favourite albums. To optimize the sound, the AI Dynamic Bass Control feature extends the low-frequency range, while avoiding distortion.
Meanwhile, connectivity functions such as Wi-Fi casting, voice operation, integration with streaming services, and Bluetooth with the Samsung Seamless Codec ensure that the Music Studio links up with your favourite devices. Compared to the basic model, the Music Studio 7 (LS70H) offers improved immersive audio playback.

This is due to its 3.1.1-channel spatial audio system with left, right, front, and top aiming speakers for true immersive dimensionality. With Hi-Resolution Audio processing, it supports up to 24-bit 96kHz, and the unique ‘super tweeter’ extends the high frequency range up to 35 kHz for added detail. In addition, the Music Studio can be paired with multiple speaker units or Q-Symphony compatible Samsung TVs.
