The rekordbox app from AlphaTheta/Pioneer DJ is available for iOS and Android and features now a free Lite mode. It turns everyone’s smartphone into a DJ app, allowing you to DJ anytime, anywhere – even if you’re new to DJing! The new Lite mode is available now as a free download.

Cool stuff! The new Lite mode of rekordbox for iOS and Android, a DJ app from AlphaTheta, aims to make getting started in DJing easy and exciting.
The Lite mode features a clear, intuitive, and stylish interface. Everything has been designed so that even novice DJs with little experience can start right away.
rekordbox’s interface shows two decks with “turntables,” the waveforms of the selected tracks, and a crossfader. Colorful animations synchronized to the rhythm of the music are also included.
You also have access to filters and effects. The tempo adjusts automatically, but a BPM display is also provided for clarity. rekordbox Mobile offers 2-deck mode and a single mode in vertical orientation (Lite mode) for more focus on a single track. Basically, everything you need to start your next party is right here! All you need is a pair of Bluetooth speakers!
Streaming is Supported!
rekordbox for iOS and Android, including the new Lite mode, supports popular streaming services such as Apple Music, Beatport Streaming (for iOS only!), TIDAL, and SoundCloud Go+/DJ. This allows you to use tracks from your favorite playlists for mixes directly on your device. This also works with music files on your device.
One particularly great aspect of this update is that all Lite mode features are free. Just install the app on your smartphone or tablet, and you’re ready to start DJing. Nice!
