Arturia have launched a limited edition run of red-coloured analogue synthesizers. The MiniBrute RED and MicroBrute RED who are identical to the regular versions in everything but colour. Apparently it will make your music “red-hot”.

The MiniBrute SE was already released in silver and the MicroBrute SE was available in white, blue or yellow so we are used to Arturia deviating from the more sedate norms. And so I find myself struggling to be excited by the prospect of something identical but in red.

The smaller of the two, the MicroBrute, goes one step further by being red and transparent giving it the air of a MacDonalds Happy Meal toy. The larger MiniBrute tries to retain some measure of professionalism in it’s opaquely red livery.

There’s really not much else to say – the products remain the same. They are great little analogue synths at a great price that are a lot of fun to play with. The MiniBrute RED is €399, the MicroBrute RED is €299 and both are available now.
