hotpicksThe PedalStation 1 contains a host of classic analogue guitar pedals all crammed very neatly into vintage one games console. Built by one mad genius, this thing is pretty epic!
Posted on Instagram by Thiago Ferri, aka tethinhas, the PedalStation 1 contains a whole load of guitar effects crammed into an old Sony PlayStation console. It contains an Ibanez Tube Screamer TS808, a ProCo RAT, the Mad Professor Deep Blue Delay and an Electro-Harmonix LPB-1. Now that’s a great set of analogue effects pedals! I love that they’re all contained into one compact unit.
Here’s the man himself explaining why he chose these four pedals, and how he modded them while building the PedalStation 1.
“The combination TS + RAT is incredible and you can take a huge range of tones with these two, ranging from light saturation to high gain. Deep Blue is a clean and direct to-the-point delay that opens the door to creativity.”
“I modded it to increase the maximum volume of repetitions. The LPB-1 worked very well with the TS and the RAT and is great for giving that highlight at the time of solos.”
You can see and hear the PedalStation 1 in the Instagram posts below – what a great combination of old technologies and classic guitar effects! The whole pedal is true bypass and features an internal 9-Volt source. A P4 output can power other pedals, as well.
