One of the most anticipated announcements is the next generation version of the awesome Massive synthesizer. Massive X will be with us in February 2019 and free to anyone who owns Komplete 12. But they don’t have a lot to tell us about it at the moment – not even a screenshot (well, we get a semi and it looks very strange).

They say it has unparalleled signal processing and a powerful modular approach. “Unprecedented sonic potential” and it “reimagines what a state-of-the-art sound engine can be”. All very impressive but that’s about it for now. Apparently, it has new subtractive filters, new insert effects and a new “performer for complex sound shaping” whatever that may mean.


Looks like we’ll have to wait until February to find out.
