The Ciari Guitars Ascender Standard is a redesigned folding guitar model. Ciari Guitars has worked with Grover Jackson to overhaul their folding guitar system. Making it both lighter in weight and also cheaper. At around $1000 cheaper than their previous Ascender model.
Ascender Standard
Ciari Guitars Ascender Standard model is a new lighter and cheaper model. It was designed in collaboration with guitar making legends, Grover Jackson and Joe Glaser. The pricing comes in at $1800, making it around $1000 cheaper than the Ascender Custom model.
Folding Guitars
The Ciari Guitars use a special folding system based around a throttle-style actuator that loosens or tightens the guitar’s strings prior to folding it up. Even with the folding mechanism these models only weigh in at 7.15 lbs and when folded up they measure a mere 18” inches in length. Making them potentially, the perfect travel guitar for musicians on the move.

Specifications
The Ascender Standard is available in Black, Blue, Red, Natural and Seafoam nano-satin matte finishes. With specifications that include a 24.75″ mahogany folding neck with a Pau Ferro fretboard. Each guitar is Plek‘d from the factory for the best possible playing action and features 22 medium jumbo frets, plus a set of locking tuners.
Now even lighter.
Lightweight
With basswood bodies and a Tune-o-Matic roller bridge, the guitars are fitted with a pair of Seymour Duncan ‘59 humbucking pickups. The pickups are wired with a stacked tone, volume controls and a coil-split for both the bridge and neck.

Just get a Steinberger, it sounds great and looks more cool.
That’s some serious mechanical engineering. Just thinking of possible use cases… whilst waiting for three hours stuck on the tarmac you could whip out the Foldiecaster from the overhead locker for a rendition of Why Are We Waiting.
Add the Boss Waza Air with the ciari guitars and you can play anywhere with out disruption.
