Musikmesse 2016: Mooer Devin Townsend Ocean Machine Delay and Reverb pedal
Mooer are making a signature model Devin Townsend Ocean Machine Delay and Reverb pedal. It’s been in development for some time apparently, and Devin has been seen using prototypes live for a while now. Ocean Machine is a looper, reverb and twin delay all in one unit and the looper section has all the reverse, half speed and record / layer options available as well. This could be a pretty fantastic piece of equipment as Mr Townsend is a fantastic player.
Delay A has digital, echo, galaxy, rotary, tri-mod, liquid, tremolo, reverse and mod-inverse.
Delay B features digital, real, analog, tape, mod, lofi, tube, dyna and filler.
The included reverbs are room, hall, plate, phaser-verb, flanger-verb, filter, reverse, spring and mod. You can also dial in an octave-like effect using the Shimmer control. The pedal also features both stereo inputs and outputs for a full-sounding spatial effect when using dual amp setups. There’s not much in the way of specific details yet, so I will update with more information as it becomes available. There is no pricing available yet and unfortunately no official release date either.
Check the video below though for an idea of what this pedal can achieve. Also, if you have never checked out Devin Townsend, then I urge you to do so, as the man is an amazing musician. I have popped a link to his website below spot you can go see and hear what he does.
