If you haven’t come across Mixingtable.com before then you’re in for a treat. They are based in Turnov in the Czech Republic and they make stunning wooden enclosures, panels and studio furniture. Their particular gift is for making cool bits of music technology look beautiful in a natural enclosure.

The Cirebus Stand is a fabulous example of their talent and their focus on individual products rather than something more generic. It’s designed expressly for the Novation Circuit and the Dreadbox Erebus semi-modular synth. It’s not a pairing that had occurred to me but wow, do they look awesome together.

The stand is made from Cherry plexiglass sides and Walnut panels. The circuit simply sits in a tray and can be removed at any time. The Erebus is mounted by removing the stock wooden sides and replacing them with walnut ones. These are then screwed into the plexiglass. Using plexiglass rather than wood throughout is a bit of a departure for Mixingtable. I’m not sure if that’s a sign of things to come and personally I would have preferred it to be all walnut.

Check out some of their other creations, like the stand for the Push 2, or Walnut cheeks for the Korg MS-20. You could revolutionise your studio if you could be bothered to pay this much attention to the finish.

The Cirebus Desk Stand for Circuit and Erebus is available now for an introductory price of €139 with free shipping to anywhere in the world.
