Recording King Deal

This little deal is strictly first come, first served. And the numbers are limited, so don’t hang around too long deciding which one you want. All four of these Recording King acoustic guitars are at least 50% off their normal price, so quite the bargain.

ROC-9-MBL Century 33 Limited

This ROC-9-MBL Century 33 Limited* is a 000 size acoustic with a solid spruce top. It comes in a very fetching blue finish and was a limited edition run when it was launched back at the 2018 NAMM show.

Recording King ROA-9-RWB Limited – or ‘Pat Smear’ Nirvana MTV Unplugged model

Based, again, on the Bakersfield original famously played by Pat Smear when he accompanied Nirvana during the MTV Unplugged session, this tri-coloured ROA-9-RWB Limited* is also a limited edition from the 2018 model year. To get this guitar at this price is a total bargain. Certainly a model that will stand out from the crowd!

This 000-14 size acoustic has a solid sitka spruce top and looks pretty special. You know everyone will want know what it is, and where you got it from. You might also get this one for a bit cheaper than Kurt Cobain’s Martin, which is about to go up for auction and starts at around a $1million.

Recording King RP-A9M

The Recording King RP-A9M* is a 0 size acoustic and part of their EZ Tone Plus series. It has a solid Engelmann spruce top and solid African mahogany back and sides, with scalloped-X bracing. At this price, it’s a real steal in my opinion. I can’t see these hanging around for long.

Recording King RP-M9M

Last, but certainly not least, is the Recording King RP-M9M*. This Dreadnought acoustic is the largest body of the four. It’s got a solid Sitka spruce top and is going for a price that is, frankly, pretty insane. A great guitar for belting out the campfire tunes on.

A lot of guitar brands on sale at the moment. Unfortunately not everyone will survive the coming global depression. If anyone thinks that all the big boys will survive, remember that PRS were days away from bankruptcy and collapse in 2008 and Gibson have struggled to survive during the good times post-2008. Probably only the Fender group is safe.

I don’t think the Recording King ROA-9-RWB Limited Edition Guitar was inspired by Pat Smear. In the picture, he is playing a Buck Owens American from the late 1960’s. I think Buck and his Bakersfield sound are the inspiration for the guitar.
