Launching this week at CES 2023, the Roland BRIDGE CAST is a streaming mixer designed for online gaming.
It’s a USB-C desktop interface packed with customizable features to manage your streaming output and enhance your gaming experience.
A closer look at the Roland BRIDGE CAST
The fundamental focus is to provide users with two independent audio mixes. The first is for monitoring your gameplay while you stream, and the other is for streaming to the various platforms where the viewers are.
The BRIDGE CAST gives you a phantom-powered mic channel, with five selectable effects presets as well as pitch and formant controls. In addition, you have independent channels for Aux, Chat, and Game audio and 5 selectable EQ presets.
Connectivity includes an XLR mic input and minijack ports for headset, aux, and line out. There are also USB-C connections for power (5V DC) and a switchable connection to PC or console/mobile.
The accompanying BRIDGE CAST desktop app is where you can build and recall custom profiles for your favourite games, customize voice transformer settings, and design EQ presets.
You can also customize the hardware controls, and in the second quarter of 2023, Roland plans to release an entire library of thousands of royalty-free backing music titles, sound effects, and more to BRIDGE CAST users via Roland cloud.
Overall it’s a pretty basic unit, but it does allow you to really customize it to fit your brand or the aesthetic of your streaming setup with a removable faceplate.
