HALion 7

Over the years HALion has slowly evolved, from competing with Logic’s EXS24 sampler to now providing a system somewhat similar to Kontakt.

Some of the exciting new features include:

  • FM Zone – a powerful algorithmic FM synthesis engine developed with Yamaha that supports DX7 and TX81Z SYX file import
  • Spectral Zone – Halion’s spectral oscillator now features a time stretch and resynthesis algorithm with formant shift, spectral filter, purity, and inharmonicity, and you can now hold spectral functions according to a sample’s start or end point
  • Redisigned modulation section with one-click assignments
  • Shaper Envelope allows custom user-drawn envelopes and LFO shapes
  • FM Lab – an FM synthesis workstation with drag-and-drop routing and high-quality built-in effects
