Donut Guitar

Copper Guitars Workshop has shared their Donut Guitar, and the maker, Artem Mayer, describes it as a “pop-art object at the intersection of modern art and musical craftsmanship.” He goes by the name ArtMayer, and regular readers may remember his iCaster guitar I wrote about back in 2019, which is made from Apple iPhones.

Holey Tone!

The basic donut guitar shapes were all crafted from s single piece of wood, and the brightly coloured finish is what makes this guitar pop!

Sprinkles

Attention to the donut detail is very good on this guitar, and they all look sweet! The ring donuts all have holes, brightly coloured icing, and sprinkles.

Singlecut Donut

This Singlecut Donut guitar is perfect for anyone who either loves The Simpsons or likes a sweet-looking guitar. It has a single P90 pickup in the bridge position and a wraparound bridge, with a 12th fret inlay that looks like a donut with sprinkles on the white fretboard.

It looks like Homer may want to eat this one.

Hot Donut

Overall, it is a very delicious-looking guitar, and I certainly approve of the P90 pickup (as always, great pickups for good sweet tones). Be sure to watch the video above to see this little donut treat being cooked up.

Sundragon Amp

The Jimmy Page Sundragon Super Dragon amp is a $22.5k recreation of his 1968 Marshall head, which was modded and used on his Led Zeppelin recordings.

Limited Run

Sundragon amps made these limited-run amps, and they recreate the Tony Frank-modded 1968 Super Bass amp head using high-end components and NOS parts. The half stack is rare and only 50 Super Dragon half stacks were made in November 2023 through the middle of 2024.

Uncle Larry

Now, session guitar legend, all-around guitar genius, and one of the nicest guys on YouTube, “Uncle Larry” Tom Bukovac, has put one through its paces in his kitchen, and he does not hold back and cranks this 100-watt beast!

Homeskoolin’

It sounds glorious, and as My Bukovac is a very talented guitar player, he makes it sing in this video, so make sure you check out the video in full. When he jumpers the two channels together, it sounds pretty amazing and is so loud that you can hear the microphone trying to handle the extreme volume.

Still, it sounds great, and so it is well worth cranking! If you can’t crank a 100-watt tube amp, then check out the new Nymph from Sundragon, which I wrote about recently, as it is only rated between 1-watt and ¼-watt power.

If you don’t already, make sure you subscribe to Bukovac’s Homeskoolin’ YouTube channel, as his content is always amazing.

Death By Audio – Stereo Fuzz?

There are no real details yet, but we know that Death By Audio has a Stereo Fuzz coming soon. I’m sold, as I love fuzz, and I love DBA, and well, stereo is just better, surely?

There are no official details on their main site or their Instagram account, so we will have to wait (hopefully not much longer) to share all the fuzzy details with you about this upcoming stereo fuzz stompbox!

Let us know in the comments section below if you would use a stereo fuzz and what type of fuzz you would want it to be?
