Gretsch Electromatic and Streamliner Jet 2025 Series
Upgraded for 2025
Gretsch has announced the launch of two new updated lines for 2025, the Electromatic Jet and Streamliner Jet. Both ranges come in three versions, and each is affordable with all the classic retro styling and modern playability. Better woods, new pickups, and other improvements across all the models mean even better value.
Electromatic Jet
The new upgraded Electromatic Jet models offer a genuinely great entry point into the Gretsch experience at an accessible price, or you can go for the Streamliner Jet models, which are even more affordable!
They look perfect for blues, punk rock, and indie guitar styles. With three versions available: Electromatic Jet, Electromatic Jet Club 1 Pickup, and Electromatic Jet Club.
PureVolt Twin Six
The Electromatic Jet features a Performance “C” mahogany set neck with a bound rosewood fretboard and the new PureVolt Twin Six Humbuckers. Gretsch states these pickups were engineered for exceptional clarity that remains articulate when clean and breaks up beautifully when pushed.
Each pickup also features twelve adjustable pole pieces. Alnico IV magnets are used in the neck position, while the bridge is combined with Alnico V magnets. This ensures excellent balance. Furthermore, the push/pull coil configuration on the tone control allows for expanded options.
It also includes the Lockdown locking adjustable wraparound bridge for enhanced sustain, attack, and rock-solid tuning.
Body options include a chambered mahogany body for the Jet Club and a chambered mahogany body with a carved maple top for the standard Jet. The Jet Club comes in either the single humbucker or dual humbucker format.
Upgraded Value
Here, you’ll find an excellent selection of great finishes. The Gretsch Electromatic Jet starts at $484/£439/€499, depending on the model. All models will soon be available here at Thomann.

Streamliner Jet
The Streamliner Jet is slightly more affordable and cut back in terms of features and woods used. They come with the HotWire high-output ceramic humbuckers. Gretsch describes these as being able handle everything from crisp clean tones to heavily saturated rock and metal. Which, I guess, makes them better suited for punkier, garage rock players, etc.
They are available as the Streamliner Jet, Streamliner Jet Club, and Streamliner Jet Club 1 Pickup.
Again, there is a mahogany body for them, plus the Streamliner Jet features a mahogany body with a carved mahogany top. A compensated wraparound bridge ensures optimal intonation.
Key features like the Pitch-Perfect head angle and a GraphTech NuBone nut ensure great tuning stability. The mahogany neck with a fast “C” profile comes with an Indian Laurel fretboard.
Great Value for Money!
Prices for the Streamliner models start at $299/£273/€309. All models will soon be available here at Thomann.

Verdict
Both ranges offer lots of variety, and they are both affordable, so I can see them being popular for a lot of players. I guess they could also be great platforms for modding and customisation, as they are both relatively simple designs, so great for making into something different.

I wish they made ‘road worn’ nitro versions of these.
