Grab another free Waves plug-in for Cyber Monday – H-Comp
Following the release of Sibilance for Black Friday, Waves is giving away another plug-in – H-Comp – for Cyber Monday. The way I see it, you only have to login with your profile and visit the website tied to this Facebook video. You will then receive an email with download instructions “within the hour.”
H-Comp is a compressor which models the behavior of transformers, tubes, and transistors with a focus on total harmonic distortion and its particular enriching of the dry signal. A so-called “hybrid compressor”, H-Comp has analog-modeled Release behavior and a transient pass-through punch control. It also syncs to your project’s BPM and can function as a limiter or clipper alongside external sidechain support.
This little orange fella definitely offers some interesting possibilities and sharing it is, indeed, very generous of Waves. Don’t miss out on the Sibilance de-esser, its Black Friday release, either. This is quality stuff that rarely comes for free.
