Gotharman sticks a lot of stuff into his boxes. As a follow up to last years PolySpaze we now have the smaller but no less packed DuoSpaze. It’s a 4 part duophonic synthesizer with multitimbral sampling and analogue filters.

It has 2 synth parts and 2 sampler parts. The synthesizer is duophonic so can play two pitches at the same time, each part having 2 oscillators, and can become polyphonic via poly-chaining. The 2 samplers give you some basic sample editing and up to 64 chop points per sample. Samples can be up to 22 minutes in length.

On top of all that there are 4 analogue filters and 2 digital filters, 6 effects processors, 4 VCAs, 8 ADSR envelopes, 4 LFOs, 4 random generators plus a randomising function to mess everything about. You can run everything with the 4 track note sequencer and 8 track control sequencer.

It’s a little box of magic. You’ve got 4 knobs to control things, a nice big touchscreen interface and a couple of buttons.

Gotharman is taking preorders now and hopes to ship in July. A video running through the presets can be found below.
