Seymour Duncan

They have the Seymour Duncan Invader humbucker with a single Master Volume with a Treble Bleed Circuit. The single pickup is mounted to the 4-ply white Pearloid pickguard.

Apart from that, they have a custom neck plate designed by DeLonge.

It ships in a Fender Deluxe Gig Bag though for the price a hard case would have been a much nicer option, as these aren’t exactly cheap guitars.

An interesting reissue and pretty close to the original run from the early 2000s.

The Original Tom Delonge Strat

The original run was made in Mexico and featured a single white Seymour Duncan SH8 Invader humbucking pickup in the bridge position and a single volume control.

This is an ultra-high-output pickup and is known for its huge bolt pole pieces.

Early 2000s

These guitars were manufactured between 1999 — 2004, but are now quite sought after once more and prices have climbed high on used examples in good condition.

They came with an alder body, a Medium C profile maple neck and a 9.5″ radius rosewood fretboard.

Colours available included Daphne Blue, Graffiti Yellow, Surf Green and Black. Although, Tom often was seen playing a variety of custom colours as well.

It is a hardtail Strat design with a large ’70s CBS-style Fender headstock shape.

I’m guessing that Fender will release these classic colours again and hopefully, the price will not be ridiculously high. As after all, this is basically a single pickup Strat.

The thing that will sell these guitars will be that a lot of guitarists saw this guitar when they were young and probably couldn’t afford it at the time. Plus, the prices on used examples are now around $2k and sometimes more, so they are being hyped by scarcity.

So, Fender, will no doubt sell bucketloads of this limited edition model.
