Fender Johnny Marr Special Jaguar
The collaboration between Fender and Johnny Marr has seen some fantastic signature model Jaguars over the years. Now they have announced the Johnny Marr Special Jaguar, a limited-edition signature model featuring some new tones compared to his standard signature run model.
We saw his 7-string Martin last year and the limited Gibson ’84 Les Paul run earlier this year, so he has been a busy man creating guitars with various brands.
Kent Armstrong Lipstick Pickups
A set of three Custom-Wound Kent Armstrong Lipstick single-coil pickups does all the heavy lifting in terms of tones, and these offer bright, jangly rhythms and also handle more pushed, driven tones as well. A new, enhanced four-position blade switching system also allows for more tonal combinations.

1965 Jaguar
This new limited-run model features an enhanced neck profile inspired by the original 1965 Jaguar, so it differs slightly from a standard Jaguar, just as the standard production model does. It also features a Jaguar bridge with Mustang saddles, providing enhanced tuning stability for the floating bridge.
The main difference for most players will be the bridge, middle, and neck positions available on this model. In the demo video, Marr (of course) makes the guitar sound fantastic.
It comes in a custom gloss nitrocellulose black lacquer and ships in a Fender hardshell case.

The limited-edition Fender Johnny Marr Special Jaguar is available at Thomann, priced at $ 3,198, £ 2,899, €3,299. It looks great and isn’t much more than the standard edition, so if you want one, you may need to act fast or miss out.
