That Epiphone Vivian Campbell signature Holy Diver Les Paul Outfit which was floating around at Winter NAMM 2019 has finally been released! It’s based on the guitar he played on the Dio album of the same name and has a spec that seems pretty impressive given the price point…
Epiphone Vivian Campbell signature Holy Diver Les Paul Outfit
Loaded with a pair of DiMarzio X2N humbuckers, the new Epiphone Vivian Campbell signature Holy Diver Les Paul Outfit isn’t his first signature model. Last year we had the slightly more expensive Gibson version. But now you can get a Vivian Campbell signature guitar for well under a grand. And it’s based on a guitar from a classic era in his career.
When the prototype guitar was shown earlier this year at NAMM, it had a DiMarzio Super Distortion in the bridge position and standard acrylic tone and volume controls. Now on official release, the spec has changed slightly. The production version has a pair of the DiMarzio X2N and brass controls knobs that match the brass nut.

This guitar has a mahogany body with maple top and cream single-ply binding. The set maple neck comes with a profile specified by Campbell and an Indian laurel fingerboard loaded with 22 medium-jumbo frets. The guitar is finished in an (almost) matt black Black Aged Gloss finish, which looks nicely understated.
Each guitar comes as standard with an Epiphone EpiLite hard case and a certificate of authenticity. This is a limited run, so don’t wait too long if you want one, as they will sell out.
Personally, I believe that Epiphone have been making great guitars in recent years. My most recent purchase was the Richie Faulkner signature Flying V and that guitar is so well made that you would not believe it cost under a thousand pounds. So I’m expecting something equally stunning from this new Vivian Campbell signature model.
