Electro-Harmonix Nano Pulsar – smaller, stereo, and feature packed tremolo
Smaller, but just as effective as before
Electro-Harmonix has revealed the brand new Nano Pulsar. It is a smaller take on the brand’s popular Pulsar and Stereo Pulsar tremolo pedals.
Electro-Harmonix Nano Pulsar
The new Electro-Harmonix Nano Pulsar combines all the popular Pulsar and Stereo Pulsar sounds, but in a far smaller enclosure. This tremolo/panner pedal will happily run in mono or stereo, so you can get some great swirling effects either way. You also have that Triangle Wave/Square Wave mode switch slap bang in the centre of the controls, so you can quickly choose how sharp or smooth the effect will be.
The pedal uses the Shape control to further tweak the Triangle Wave and Square Wave modes, while the Rate and Depth knobs allow you to really push those two modes. This way you can get positive and negative phase, along with asymmetric modulation, which makes for some truly unique tremolo settings. Thankfully, the status LED pulses in time with the tremolo rate, so you have an indication of where you are going. Finally, the Vol knob controls the overall output of the effect. You would normally use this to compensate for any perceived volume loss that you often get when using a tremolo effect, so it is an important one.
You can run the EHX Nano Pulsar either from battery (it also ships with one) or an external 9 V power supply. It certainly is a neat update and perfect for any player that needs a stereo tremolo effect on their pedalboard. Check out the new smaller nano Pulsar in the official demo video below.
RRP – USD 99
