Electro-Harmonix Nano Deluxe Memory Man

The original vintage Electro-Harmonix Deluxe Memory Man sounds wonderful, but it was huge and is now also very expensive on the used market. Well, this new Electro-Harmonix Nano Deluxe Memory Man Analog Delay takes that circuit and repackages it in a more compact form, perfect for modern pedalboard setups.

Analogue Effects

This new mini version has the same analogue delay, chorus and vibrato effects of the original big box version. You get delay times from 30ms up to 550ms, and echo repeats which will go into oscillation, all the things you liked about the original. You also have a Tails Switch, so you that your echoes decay naturally when the pedal is switched to bypass or muted. If you want bucket brigade analogue delay and modulation, then this could be exactly what you need in your life.

With Blend, Feedback, Delay, Level, Rate and Depth controls, this pedal should be easy for anyone to dial in. The Rate and Depth are your main controls for the vibrato and chorus modulation effects. The rest of the controls are for your delay and the amount of wet/dry signal. It also has the overload LED that will light up to indicate when the signal going into the analogue delay block is too hot.

Overall, I think that it will be a lot of fun to play with. And I like the smaller form factor a lot. The video demo below sounds pretty promising, which is also very good to hear. This could be the perfect way to get those classic analogue delay sounds, but at a reasonable price point and should easily fit into your current guitar rig.
