The Behringer Dice 1U2 is an ultra-accessible USB audio interface, allowing you to record easily on a budget from the comfort of your home.
Just when you thought there were enough options in the budget audio interface market, Behringer has some other ideas. The new Dice interface is a straightforward way to get vocals and instruments recorded into your DAW.

Equipped with a Midas mic preamp, the Dice 1U2 allows you to connect any XLR-based microphone, while the TRS jack input can switch modes for guitars or line-level instruments like synthesizers and drum machines. Around the gain controls and phantom power button, there are useful LED indicators that let you know when there is signal present on a channel, clipping, or when the 48V is active.
The Dice 1U2 is a USB-C powered device that runs on macOS and Windows 10, giving you 24-bit 192 kHz recording capabilities. Meanwhile, for connecting your studio monitors and headphones, there is a pair of TRS outputs on the rear panel, and a dedicated stereo headphone input on the front.
Here, on this main control panel, you’ll also find the rather prominent monitor level knob, and there is a direct monitoring function, which is ideal for recording and streaming applications where you aren’t trying to align to the timing grid from a DAW.
Overall, the Dice 1U2 follows the Behringer philosophy to the ‘T’, targeting the most popular interface on the market and offering a worthy, affordable alternative. It’s unknown at this point whether an entire series of Dice audio interfaces of different shapes and sizes is in the works, but this certainly seems like the next logical step.

lol the cheap alternative to the $100 interface
I bought the Behringer UMC204HD from Amazon for $100. Two mic inputs and better options.
You get what you pay for. I wouldn’t touch it.
They could at least try to make it look less obvious what product they copied. Can’t be that difficult for a company like Behringer to come up with a different design. Just changing the colour from red to blue doesn’t cut it.
It’s not the outside that matters.
Behringer cuts corners with electronics. That’s what’s matters.
Weird that they allow comments on what appears to be AI generated non-review. An interface is only as good as its drivers. Several of Behringer’s bottom of the line interfaces don’t even have ASIO driver. Does this one have a proper driver? How much does it cost? How does it compare to what it’s competing with?
