Audionamix Instant Dialogue Cleaner: AI-powered noise remover
Developer Audionamix released IDC: Instant Dialogue Cleaner. This is a very intricate tool which utilizes a deep neural network artificial intelligence to automatically isolate unwanted noise and clean up dialogue. Audio material is separated into speech and noise components with the option of adjusting the presence of both in real-time.
According to the developer, nothing is safe from the AI’s wrath – birds, winds, insects, cars, planes, excess reverb can be removed effectively. Alas, the denoiser is not suitable for music, but feel free to try it on vocals and see how it goes – singing is speech, in a way, after all.
Despite the backend’s complexity, IDC is very easy to use, offering a single knob for gain control and a pair of sliders for strength and speech adjustment. There’s also a signal visualizer in the form of a diode meter. Hopefully, the plug is as impressive and useful as it sounds.
Price and availability
Audionamix is selling IDC in VST2, VST3, AU, AAX, and AudioSuite formats for Windows and Mac systems. The plug-in supports sample rates up to 192kHz and bit depths up to 32 bits. The price is USD 199 – artificial intelligence doesn’t come cheap!
