With Audiomodern Loopmix, you have access to a comprehensive interface for multi-channel loop mangling within one intuitive interface.
From the offset, the plug-in’s workflow encourages your creative input, requiring loops to be loaded into the six available channels. Within each channel lies an intuitive sequencing engine, with randomization and time-stretching functionality that allows for infinite results to be generated.
The engine allows you to load not only audio loops and stems, but MIDI too. This gives you the flexibility to create patterns from many different sources.
Working with Audiomodern Loopmix
The interface is centered around the six channels and six sections divided into tabs directly above the main window that displays which section you’re focussed on. This includes the sequencer, re-arrange, reverse, volume, and pitch sections, each with three controls for randomize, reset, and bypass functions.
Loopmix allows you to immediately create unique rhythms in seconds, simply by dropping a few loops in and hitting the red randomize button in the center above the main window. The algorithm instantly puts together a sequence comprised of multiple slices across each of the active channels in the sequencer.
Where the fun really begins is when you bring MIDI control into the equation, as this brings tactile musical control to the workflow. The depth of control mapping allows you to really turn Loopmix into a musical instrument rather than a processing plug-in.
In addition, the features are extensive enough to allow for many different workflows to suit almost any style of music.
