Audiomodern Chordjam
Audiomodern presents Chordjam, an intuitive new tool for Mac and Windows computers and iOS devices that helps you create chords, chord progressions and sequences for your tracks. After you’ve chosen a scale, octave and chord type, the software uses what Audiomodern calls “user-guided randomization” to generate musical chord progressions and patterns. Sounds like a great way to come up with new ideas!
According to Audiomodern, Chordjam uses your inputs and settings to randomize a variety of parameters in an intelligent way. This way, the plug-in creates unique, unpredictable patterns and sequences that complement your music. When you play on your MIDI keyboard, Chordjam’s “smart” voicing engine gets to work and delivers chords with up to six voices.
But the software doesn’t stop there. Chordjam also offers various trigger modes that affect which parameters are randomized with each note. And there’s an integrated sequencer that lets you create chord patterns and evolving chord progressions. You can even choose from a variety of styles, and the groove generator will deliver the appropriate chord patterns for your music.
We could all use a bit of extra inspiration from time to time, and generative tools like Chordjam can be just what you need to get the ball rolling. Price and compatibility
Audiomodern Chordjam is now available from Thomann.de* for €39. This introductory offer lasts until June 7, 2021. The regular price will be €49.
The plug-in requires macOS 10.12 or higher or Windows 7 or higher. It’s available in AU, AAX, VST and VST3 formats.
Chordjam is also available for iPad. The app requires iPadOS 11 or higher and supports Ableton Link. You can get it from the Apple App store for €8,99.
