The Audeze LCD-5s is the latest top-of-the-range planar headphone design, using SLAM technology for the most truthful listening experience possible.
With the advanced planar magnetic driver system, the LCD line delivers incredibly precise reproduction with a crystal clear midrange, organic low-end, and perfectly articulated transient detail. Audeze LCD-5s
The new LCD-5s uses a circumaural open-back design with a combination of the highest quality materials, including genuine leather, magnesium, carbon fiber, and polished polymer acetate. The 90 mm planar magnetic transducers use neodymium N50 magnets in a Fluxor™ array, while the Nano-Scale Parallel Uniforce™ diaphragm produces a frequency response of 5 – 50,000 Hz.
The maximum SPL is 130 dB with a sensitivity rating of 90dB/1mW, and the SLAM acoustic management design allows precision-controlled driver operation with extended low-end and a characteristically open soundstage. The new, specially crafted earpads enhance comfort but also reduce any internal reflectivity, thereby reinforcing the overall accuracy.
The LCD-5s use an ultra-high-grade audio cable, constructed with continuous cast copper strands for minimized resistance and capacitance, ensuring the highest fidelity signal transmission and accuracy. With an impedance rating of 30 ohms, the LCD-5s will perform optimally with a wide range of professional and consumer audio devices.
