The Audient ORIA Mini is a convenient new hardware-based room correction system designed with Sonarworks for your home studio.
In collaboration with Sonarworks, Audient has developed the ORIA Mini, a hardware correction system that compensates for any acoustic shortcomings in your listening environment. All you need to do is place it between your audio interface and studio monitors.
Audient ORIA Mini
The ORIA Mini is a compact processor with 127 dB dynamic range that sits on your desktop next to your audio interface, and, using Sonarworks SoundID Reference, it processes your main output with its 32-bit converters. Unlike native correction solutions, the ORIA Mini does all the processing, so there’s no strain put on your CPU.
Also, because it’s a dedicated solution that is always wired into your main outputs via analogue TRS or ADAT, you don’t have to activate it in your DAW every time you want to use it. The setup and calibration process can be completed in under 20 minutes, and you have the option of remote access to the ORIA Mini with the Elgato Stream Deck or Apple iPad.
Besides allowing you to use SoundID Reference to calibrate your system, you can also make manual adjustments with other software, such as Rational Acoustics Smaart and RoomEQ Wizard. This allows you to tweak EQ, Trim, Bass Management, and Delay to get the best possible results in your home studio.
In addition, the ORIA Mini supports up to 24-bit 96 kHz audio in 2.1, with stereo outputs, as well as an output for subwoofers. Overall, it’s a straightforward solution for music production, mixing, content creation, and post-production that is easy to incorporate into almost any setup, whether you use a mixer in your studio or not.
