Harley Benton CLD-65 and CLO-65 Acoustic Guitars: The New Go-To Guitars for Songwriters?

New additions to HB’s Custom Line series! The Harley Benton CLD-65 series includes four mighty dreadnought models, perfect for singer-songwriters. And those who prefer a gentler sound and are more at home with fingerpicking might be interested in the four models in the CLO-65 series!
Harley Benton CLD-65: Four Mighty Dreadnoughts!
The four acoustic guitars in the Harley Benton CLD-65 series differ in two respects: the type of wood used for the top and the type of pickup. But let’s first look at what they have in common. All models feature X-bracing in the body with back and sides made of mahogany, a nato wood neck (C-shape), a Pau Fero fretboard, bone nut, and 20 nickel frets. And, of course, the larger dreadnought body shape. Due to this, these acoustic guitars can produce a much louder and more resonant sound, making them perfect for singer-songwriters.

The bridge and saddle are also made of bone. In addition, the headstock features open 18:1 tuners and the Harley Benton logo in mother-of-pearl. HB also uses a dovetail neck joint at the 14th fret for improved neck stability.
The CLD-65SE NT* and CLD-65S NT* each feature a spruce top, and the former also includes an HB-03 pickup with integrated tuner. In comparison, the CLD-65ME NT* and CLD-65M NT* models feature a mahogany top instead, while the ME model also includes a pickup.

CLO-65: Orchestra models for Fingerpicking
The CLO-65 series shares many of the same features as the four models in the Harley Benton CLD-65 series. The main difference is the smaller orchestra body shape. These guitars are easier to travel with, sound clearer and more defined when finger-picking melodies. On the other hand, they might sound a little thinner when it comes your usual Wonderwall chords.

By the way, all acoustic guitars in today’s HB release include pearloid DOT fretboard inlays and side inlays, both of which are handy for keeping track of your playing position! The four new CLO models included are the Harley Benton CLO-65S NT* and CLO-65SE NT*, which, like the respective CLD models, feature a solid spruce top, and the SE model with a pickup. In addition, you get the Harley Benton CLO-65M NT* and CLO-65ME NT* guitars, which feature mahogany tops.
