Reclaimed Tones
PRS is known for its regularly released limited special editions. However, this model has a special story behind it. With a top crafted from Peroba Rosa, a Cuban mahogany neck, and a Guaribu fretboard, the PRS S2 Special Reclaimed is a guitar with a uniquely earthy look and feel.
Peroba Rosa & Guaribu
The Peroba Rosa wood is 100 to 150 years old and comes from Brazil. The Cuban mahogany neck comes from trees that were downed by Hurricane Maria in 2017.
The Guaribu Preto wood comes from Brazil and was formerly used as support beams for farmhouses. Nail holes, wear marks, and discoloration are visible in the wood, making each guitar unique and steeped in history.
PRS S2 Special Reclaimed
The PRS S2 Special Reclaimed is built on the foundation of the S2 Special Semi-Hollow series, featuring a 22-fret neck and a 25-inch scale.
For versatile tone, it’s equipped with two 58/15 LT humbuckers and a PRS Narrowfield pickup. These can be configured in 12 different combinations using a 5-way toggle switch and two mini toggle switches.
As you’d expect from PRS, this model also includes the classic Birds fretboard inlays, a PRS Patented Tremolo, and PRS Phase III locking tuners.
