A new Jackson Pro Origins 1985 San Dimas series is here, and it’s all about bringing back the legendary tone of the ’80s.

To do that, Jackson’s engineers went back in time, meticulously reverse-engineering the original J90 and J50 pickups. The result? A new generation of era-accurate humbuckers that nail that classic sound.

Available in classic, Black, Snow White, Vanilla Shake, Candy Apple Red (reminiscent of Vai’s Jack Butler guitar from Crossroads), and a limited-edition ‘Two Face’ finish, these guitars are super retro-styled.

Super Speed Profile

This new range is all based around a solid alder body paired with a Jackson “super speed profile” maple neck with graphite reinforcement. Designed for players who want a thin, fast neck profile and available with either maple or rosewood 12”-16” compound radius fretboards, depending on the model. Each model shares the same dot inlays and 22 jumbo frets.

Floyd Rose

It wouldn’t be the ’80s without a locking trem system, and these all come equipped with the Floyd Rose 1000 series double locking tremolo. You’ll be able to divebomb, flutter, and squeal with the best of them with this setup.

Two Face

This retro-styled series includes both single-pickup and HH-configured models, like the distinctive ‘Two Face’ limited-run model, which features unique uncovered pickups.

Custom-voiced Jackson J90-C (bridge) and J50-N (neck) pickups, recreated from the original 1980s recipe, are the big update for this range, and they all share the classic ’80s voicing.

Controls for HH models include a Volume, Tone, and 3-way toggle. For single-pickup models, a single Volume control is provided instead.
