Ladies and Djent-ers! Periphery’s Misha Mansoor and Jackson have something new! Three pretty snazzy signature guitars from the Jackson MM Juggernaut series are being released today: two HT 6s and one ET 6, all in very stylish colours.

Jackson MM Juggernaut HT 6: Red Crystal and Blue Sparkle

You can think what you will about the headstock, but in terms of colour, both HT 6 models are a real winner.

The Jackson MM Juggernaut HT 6 Red Crystal, in particular, boasts a bright, beautifully wicked red that puts you in a good mood. Blue Sparkle, on the other hand, has a more peaceful aura; the shade of blue is somewhere between ocean and Caribbean turquoise.

Misha Mansoor is co-founder, lead guitarist, and producer of metal legends Periphery. After forming the band in 2005, he quickly made a name for himself with his brutally precise djent sound.

Locking tuners and new humbuckers

The poplar body, bolt-on maple neck with graphite reinforcement, and ebony fretboard with a 20-inch radius fitted with 24 jumbo stainless steel frets. The hardware includes Jackson die-cast locking tuners and a Jackson HT6 hardtail bridge with through-body string routing.

Jackson MM1 Humbuckers

The most significant innovation (besides a slightly tweaked body shape) is the two Jackson MM1 humbuckers. A five-way switch allows you to combine and switch between pickups. Five, with two pickups?

That’s right. Position 1 is for the neck pickup, position 5 is for the bridge pickup, and position 3 is for both. Position 2 uses coil splitting to use only the inner coils, while position 4 uses only the outer coils—great for bell-like Strat sounds.

Master Tone

Master Volume and Master Tone (new) are included as controls. The tone control has been adapted to Misha’s dislike of tone knobs.

In the product video, he says he prefers playing without a tone control. On the HT 6 model, the control must first be pulled out using the push/pull function to affect the sound. If it’s down and you accidentally touch the control while pirouetting on stage, the sound won’t be altered.

Each of the two models costs €999 at Thomann.

MM Juggernaut ET 6 with EverTune bridge

This update of the Jackson MM Juggernaut also has something for the extreme bending crowd. The ET 6 model features an EverTune F6 model bridge.

Otherwise, the guitar’s internals are similar to those of the HT 6 models: a poplar body, maple neck, slightly offset white dot inlays, a massive 20-inch fingerboard radius, and a 25.5-inch scale.

In the video, Misha explains the EverTune bridge by saying that in recent years, he’s increasingly relied on guitars with it in the studio for recordings.

It’s the only way to keep all the strings in tune during those drop-C escapades.

The model costs €1,489 at Thomann, and a Jackson gig bag is included.
