These new low-wattage MESA/Boogie California Tweed 6V6 2:20 models are promising vintage tones without the hassle. Plus, you get a tube-driven spring reverb and variable wattages. Making them perfect for home, studio and also smaller gigs.
MESA/Boogie California Tweed 6V6 2:20
The new MESA/Boogie California Tweed 6V6 2:20 line consists of a head, a 1×10 combo and a 1×12 combo. Each amp is rated at 20 watts but can be driven at the full 20 watts, 10 watts, and 1 watt of power, all via a switch on the front panel. Inspired by ’50s Tweed circuits, expect vintage tones, just with modern updates and reliability. Essentially MESA has taken the original California Tweed 4:40 and 6V6 character and then made it a lot more manageable by lowering the power output.
Powered by 5x 12AX7 and 1x 12AT7 tubes and 2x 6V6 power output tubes. They all feature silicon diodes for a rectifier. These little amps should have some decent tones within them.

Pro Specs
I like that they have a tube-drive spring reverb and also a buffered series effect loop. Both of which are desirable features in a good quality tube amp. They are single-channel amps with two Inputs: Normal Input = Clean to Overdrive and Low Input = Clean. The main controls consist of Gain, Treble, Mid, Bass, Master, Presence and Reverb. Plus, the Multi-Watt output switch with 20, 10 and 1-watt settings.
Mini 20 Watt head and cab
The 1 x12 comes with an 8 Ohm Jensen Blackbird ALNICO 40 speaker and the 1×10 has the same but smaller.
Each amp is still pretty expensive, especially outside of the USA and the price does not include the foot switch and cable for the reverb, which is a bit cheeky at these price points.

Seem like good all around amps. Might be good to list out the weights, since they’re calling these “Grab and go” amps.
I have a Lonestar 2×12 that sounds great at all volumes (even at home), but at 90 pounds, it’s rare that I’m willing to actually move it these days.
