High End Microphones Stolen

If you had to put together a list of your all-time dream microphones, then there’s a chance it’d include some of the names on this list: Neumann, Telefunken, Austrian Audio, Sony, Coles and so on. Unfortunately, the list covers dozens of high-end microphones stolen in a burglary!

London-based retailer, KMR, made a social media post today July 27th, stating that the haul of exotic mics was stolen. They’ve also listed full details in the hopes of having the microphones returned. However, the thieves are not as smart as perhaps they think they are…

Practically Useless

If you’ve worked with exotic high-end microphones, you’ll know that many of them require an external power supply. It seems the thieves weren’t so clued up and stole the microphones minus the essential power supplies!

Unsurprisingly then we’re expecting a load of these microphones to end up “dumped”, either literally or figuratively, once the thieves realise their error. Below, you’ll find the full list from KMR including serial numbers where relevant.

If you’re offered any of the microphones below, then contact KMR Audio via their Facebook page.

Exactly, so all of us in this community all over the world knows and don’t go and buy a cheap high end microphone off ebay with the text saying “Selling without original transformer, lost it when moving studio…” and think it’s all peaches and cream!
